How we approach the number 0 through the wisdom of human subconsciousness

* In all cultures, the circle symbolises perfection and potential.

* King Arthur and his Knights made decisions sitting at the Round Table, which symbolises the principle that nobody takes the upper hand.

* Rosette - a circular window above the main entrance of cathedrals. It serves to express the perfection and omnipresence of God.... (Rosettes often used the symbolism of numbers to convey other meanings).

* The circle symbolises interconnection: the Olympic rings.

* The circle symbolises interconnection and potential: newlyweds exchange rings.

* The circle returns energy (round buildings, round corners).

* When a road ends in itself (when something determines itself) and does not lead to a specific destination, then we say that we are "going round in circles", or we mention "a vicious circle"

What shape is perfect? It's the circle. The points on the circle are all the same distance from its centre. Each part of the circle's curve is equal to any other. The circle can absorb and embrace (and therefore contain) 'EVERYTHING' within it. It has no beginning and it has no end. The circle can roll anywhere, any time. It has no fixed position. It's perfectly variable.

We can therefore see the circle as a symbol of the principle that EVERYTHING has its origin in the ABSOLUTE, UNMANIFESTED, VARIABLE SOURCE, in other words, everything has its origin in the ABSOLUTE, ALL-EMBRACING NOTHINGNESS. We therefore start our symbolic numerical description of the mystery of being with just the circle. 

The zero - with no beginning and no end - the absolute SOURCE

The knowledge of the zero and the ways of its usage reflect the intellectual level of the culture using it. Europeans only 'discovered' the zero at some point in the 11th century. The fascinating, wise Mayans used the zero. Their symbol for this number is amazing. It's commonly said that the Mayan zero symbolises a seashell. This may be so. The Mayan zero can also be viewed as a symbol of an eye. And eyes are the windows of the soul. We know this, after all. The depicted Mayan 0 symbolises virtually the number 3 principles, triality... In essence, it resembles the well-known Eye of Providence within a triangle.

The Mayan 0 may also symbolize something else, something quite significant. The process of transformation of the unmanifested into the manifested. We will demonstrate it in a moment with the number 1.
